Why Curb Elite Doesn't Take Checks (And What That Saved You From)
Six ways to pay us: PayPal, Square, credit or debit card, Venmo, Cash App, cash, or a verified money order.
Notice what isn't on that list. Checks.
It's the question we get every week, so here's the straight answer: checks don't bounce on the customer who wrote them. They bounce on us — three days after the work is done, the bank pulls the funds back out, and we're chasing a phone call that doesn't get returned. Every honest customer who has ever written us a check has been fine. The problem is the small handful who weren't, and the way that small handful poisons the well for everyone else.
So we built a payment policy that says yes to everything that clears immediately and no to the one method that doesn't.
What this saves you from: a contractor who pads the bill to cover bad-check losses. We don't have those losses, so we don't pad. The price you see is the price the job costs.
Residential minimum: $135 in core OKC, $175 outlying. Commercial starts at $200. Same number we'd quote a neighbor.
Service area is 14 cities across the OKC metro — Purcell, Noble, Norman, Moore, OKC, Edmond, Guthrie, El Reno, Yukon, Mustang, Piedmont, Del City, Midwest City, Shawnee. We cover what we can show up to. If you're outside that ring, we'll tell you straight, not string you along.
Every job funds prison ministry and homeless outreach in Oklahoma County. Not a marketing line. The numbers are on our wall.
